2025 IAN Book of the Year Award Recipient

I’m excited to announce that The Extraordinary Journey of an Ordinary Dragonfly has been recognized in the 2025 Independent Author Network (IAN) Book of the Year Awards.

This year, the book received two honors:

🏆 Winner —Fiction/Non Fiction Children’s Middle Grade, Ages 9 - 12
🏅 Finalist —Fiction Spiritual

IAN is an international awards program that highlights the work of independent authors, small presses, and university presses. Their annual competition spans a wide range of genres, and it was especially meaningful to see The Dragonfly recognized in both a children’s category and a spiritual fiction category—reflecting its crossover appeal and the story’s deeper themes.

A heartfelt thank you to artist Aletha Heyman @letjieheyman for her beautiful illustrations, and to my family and friends for their support along the way.

Also, many thanks to the Independent Author Network and the judging panel for this recognition.
